I visited the Fitchburg, Mass. blacksmith festival one Saturday and spent the morning covering Jon Maynard as he and fellow smiths forged three knives. That evening I began putting everything together into a “60 second documentary,” which I finished at about 2 a.m. Finished is relative, since there is more editing to be done, as you will note.
