Over the summer and fall of 2019 I increasingly explored photojournalism in various forms.

Visual essay: Burning down the house – It’s good practice

After watching the volunteer firefighters of New Ipswich train in August, I returned in mid-September as they conducted even more realistic training which culminated in the actual burning of the house.  The format for this essay was inspired by the techniques used by the Washington Post in their visual stories.
